Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø   

Carry out the operation of process plant and production related equipment, safely and efficiently, under the direction of the Process Superintendent.

Ø   

Ensure that the PTW and Isolation system is adhered to and managed.

Principle Functions of the Position:

Ø   

Responsible for the shift supervision of Production staff and contractors.

Ø   

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of process plant, systems and equipment, and associated equipment, during the shift, and to ensure proper handovers during shift change.

Ø   

Optimize production as instructed by the Process Superintendent.

Ø   

Monitor and control all process-related equipment via the FCS and other control panels during the shift.

Ø   

Provide production personnel and service contractors with adequate and suitable information as directed by the Process Superintendent.

Ø   

Ensure effective communication with the Process Superintendent and within the Production Department.

Ø   

Prepare daily and weekly reports as required.

Ø   

Ensure that all personnel involved in operations under the control of the Production Department carry out work in a safe and responsible manner, in compliance with:

v  COMPANY Safety and Corporate Management Systems;

v  Production operations procedures;

v  The FPSO Waste Management Plan.

Ø   

Ensure that all personnel:

v  Are familiar with COMPANY Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies;

v  Understand their emergency response duties;

Ø   

Participate in the effective monitoring of management systems where appropriate.

Ø   

Assist with plans for annual I&T’s.

Safety Critical Functions

Ø   

Provide the Process Superintendent and the OIM with information during an emergency and assist with emergency response as per procedures and instructions. 

Ø   

Perform the duty of Asset Operator within the PTW system.

Ø   

Ensure isolations are in compliance with the COMPANY Isolation Philosophy and PTW system.

Experience Factors

Ø   

Minimum 5 years offshore experience.

Ø   

Minimum 5 years experience as an operator / technician for high-pressure hydrocarbon process plant.

Ø   

Previous FPSO experience.

Good standard of literacy and mathematical skills

Technical apprenticeship to City and Guilds or an equivalent training scheme.

COMPANY Competency Based Training – Emergency Response Training

Ø   

COMPANY Competency Based Training - Workplace Assessor

Ø   

Offshore Survival with HUET
