Requirements: Camber Corporation (employee owned company) is seeking Port Engineers that satisfy the following skills , knowledge and experience requirements: Approximately 6 years of commercial, Navy, or NOAA experience as an operating engineer and /or port engineer ; knowledge and experience in, commercial maritime maintenance, and a bachelors degree in engineering, Port engineer experience with Navy and SHIPMAIN processes is desirable. USCG Third Assistant Engineer or higher desired. Excellent benefits and relocation packages included. Candidates MUST be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security Clearance as a condition of employment. Travel is minimal. Job Duties: Assigned as Combined Fleet Forces Command (CFFC) Port Engineer. Serves as the Regional Maintenance Commander and ship Commanding Officer's primary representative for all off ship maintenance and modernization. Key member of the RMC Core Maintenance Team consisting of the Commanding Officer, the Port Engineer, the ship’s Ship Material and Maintenance Officer (SMMO), the depot Naval Supervisory Activity project manager, the intermediate maintenance facility Ship Superintendent, and, for private sector depot work under multi-ship/multi-option contracts, a representative from the prime contractor. As a licensed and experienced Navy or marine engineer, acts as subject matter expert and technical specialist in ships and ship systems/equipment and is familiar with both operations and maintenance requirements for assigned ships. The Port Engineer is expected to be the most knowledgeable person on the material condition and maintenance requirements for his assigned ships. The Port Engineer is expected to provide the necessary waterfront and maintenance management leadership to make his ships successful in meeting all mission requirements
